An estimated 1.2 billion people or about 16% of global population do not have access to electricity according to WEO-2016 and many more suffer from supply that is of poor quality.

More than 95% of those living without electricity are in countries in sub-Saharan Africa and developing Asia, and they are predominantly in rural areas (around 80% of the world’s total)

Remote islanders in particular Indonesia, Philippines and Pacific Islands live without basic electricity infrastructure. They are mostly using diesel gensets for electricity generation and buy expensive diesel fuel due to high transportation cost to these remote islands. These gensets are generally inefficient with high fuel consumption, high PM and CO2 emissions.

EPS (S) offers containerized power supply solution with different combination of renewable energy and storage system each optimized for 5 households application to reduce the cost and CO2 emissions.
